The bullets were flying at a Wendy’s location in Lynn, Massachusetts last week when an order was mistakenly handed off without the correct size parameters.
The altercation broke out at the drive-thru window that started, believe it or not – when the customer ordered a size large drink but was given a size small (Courtesy of: Daily Caller).
As these tales seem to go, time and time again, a grievance such as this can’t simply be settled by talking it out and/or asking for the right size or food item.
The customer, not in the mood for such a fiasco, was willing to escalate the situation in a different way, by driving back around to the drive-thru window and shooting through the window at employees inside the establishment.
A 16-year-old employee took the brunt of the customer’s dissatisfaction in the form of a bullet to the shoulder. Another young employee was grazed by a separate bullet and two more bullet holes were found in the drive-thru window.
The customer turned shooter left the scene and hasn’t been identified as of yet. No word on if surveillance footage captured the car they were driving or if there’s a description of the shooter.
“We are deeply disturbed by this senseless act of violence, and we are grateful to the first responders who acted quickly in this situation. We will work with local law enforcement as they continue their investigation.” Wendy’s said in a statement.
The teenager that was hit in the shooting was taken to the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
“It’s a neighborhood and it’s a busy area, and there’s kids walking by left and right. Can’t do that, just can’t do that.” Another Wendy’s employee said about the area where the shooting took place.
The investigation is ongoing into the identity of the shooter.
