A Burger King employee has been charged with “malicious tampering” after serving customers fries fresh out of the trash.
Assistant Manager, Jaime Christine Major of a Burger King located in South Carolina was arrested and booked on a $20,000 bond after her behavior was alerted by a customer, to police.
A few days prior to her arrest, a call was made to police over a disturbance at the Burger King because two women were fighting with employees, cursing, and making threats at them.
One woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after she wouldn’t calm down.
The next issue came when a report was received the next day about fries being served to customers out of the trash.
Allegedly, Major was putting the fries in the trash, taking them out, and then placing them into a fryer with fresh fries on top.
A spokesperson for Burger King told Fox Business: “These allegations, do not align to the brand’s commitment to quality food and service and creating an exceptional Guest experience. The franchisee of this restaurant is cooperating with local authorities and will take appropriate action based on the findings.”
The investigation into the trash fry incident is still ongoing with investigators unwilling to share further details.
