A Boston Market employee arrived for her shift the other day to find the door to the safe open and the contents emptied. An unlocked front door to the establishment was a tell-tale sign that this was no ordinary theft.

The 31-year-old employee was at Boston Market at 10am to open up when she noticed something was amiss and didn’t have to use her key to enter the premises because the door was already unlocked (Courtesy of: Cleveland.com).

The woman immediately notified the authorities.

The estimated value of the contents in the safe, puts the stolen money to amount to around $3500.

This is not the first time a Boston Market safe has been targeted according to a story from a few years ago.

In 2018, a similar occurrence took place at a different location but this time, in Detroit.

This instance saw the robbers taking the whole kit-n-caboodle by attaching a chain to the safe and a truck waiting outside…and dragging it out of the restaurant entirely.

The Boston Market location in Lyndhurst, Ohio didn’t show any signs of a break-in besides the empty safe, which is why investigators seem to think a former employee is responsible for the theft.

The investigation is underway and surely officials will be combing over current and former employees to try and flush out the perpetrator.
