Taco Bell is bringing back a few tried-and-true favorites while testing a new item entirely, The Crispanada in Tennessee. To accommodate the menu changes, the Quesarito will be leaving the scene on April 19th (Courtesy of: Nations Restaurant News).

Testing The Crisp

The empanada-esque, Cheesy Chicken Crispanada is being tested in the Knoxville, Tennessee market to see how it fares among customers.

It consists of a fried, crispy pastry shell filled with shredded chicken, and melty cheese. It will also come served with a side of spicy ranch sauce. The Crispanada will be available either a la carte ($3.49) or as part of a boxed combo option with a crunchy taco, cinnamon twists and a drink.

The franchise will test the new crispy pastry for a limited time before deciding if it will see it’s day nationally.

Returning To The Menu

Coming back to the menu nationwide, is the Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito and the Bacon Club Chalupa.

The Bacon Club Chalupa; stars grilled chicken and bacon with an avocado ranch sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and a cheese- blend encased within the chalupa shell.

The Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito includes…double the amount of marinated steak, rice, a three-cheese blend, and sauce rolled into a grilled flour tortilla.

Both options will be available a la Cart at a price point of $3.49.
