It’s happening. On October 31st, Taco Bell is set to deliver on its promise of bringing back fan-favorite menu items on a nostalgic menu across the country, albeit for a limited time. Among these nostalgic comebacks is one of the chain’s most anticipated desserts.
Sources close to the matter have revealed that a particularly sweet limited-edition item is slated to make its return to menus soon. For those trying to guess, here’s a tantalizing clue: picture a crispy, light exterior enveloping pieces of apple and a luscious caramel filling.
If you’ve been dreaming of the Caramel Apple Empanada, your wishes are about to come true. An insider from the fast-food giant has confirmed to food blogger, Markie_devo that Taco Bell is rolling out its “Through the Decades Menu” nationwide. This nostalgic initiative follows a successful market test on the West Coast earlier this summer.

The Caramel Apple Empanada will not be debuted along with the rest of the menu. It will be available from December 3rd to the 18th, and only from the app.
Nostalgic “Through The Decades” Menu Line-Up
From The 1960’s: The Tostada
From The 1970’s: Green Burrito
From The 1980’s: Meximelt
From The 1990’s: Gordita Beef Supreme
From The 2000’s: Caramel Apple Empanada. From Dec. 3rd to the 18th.
The menu has been testing at several locations in California, and possibly others, because we’ve seen signs with a slightly different menu floating around sine July.
This rollout plan may include a series of limited-time offerings scheduled throughout the remainder of the year.
This move by Taco Bell not only caters to longtime fans craving their old favorites but also introduces newer customers to some of the chain’s most beloved creations from years past.
