Starting October 12th, Taco Bell will have a Vegan Nacho Sauce available alongside the return of the popular Nacho Fries.

Taco Bell’s vegan sauce was tested in a limited market in early summer in conjunction with the Vegan Crunch Wrap. The sauce will now hit menus nationwide after the successful test launch proved to be favorable with customers who reviewed the sauce positively.

Liz Matthews, global chief food innovation officer, said in a statement:

“We’re thrilled to reintroduce Nacho Fries, now with a larger-than-life flair, and our beloved vegan nacho sauce. This sauce, born from the success of our Vegan Crunchwrap, represents Taco Bell’s commitment to providing delicious, craveable food for a variety of lifestyles – whether you’re vegan, flexitarian or want to try something new, there’s a place for you at our table.”

The Vegan Sauce has been certified vegan by the American Vegetarian Association for that sense of legitimacy.

Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries were first introduced in 2018 with rousing success, which turned out to be their most popular menu roll-out. The Fries are now available in a bigger size than previous installments, for a price of $2.99.

Taco Bell’s statement teased more iterations of Nacho Fries hitting the menu in the future. Last year, we saw Loaded Nacho Fries drop for a limited time alongside a hot sauce collaboration with the brand Truff.
