Denny’s, the iconic American diner chain, is making waves in casual dining with the return of its much-loved value menu. The restaurant has announced the comeback of its “$2 $4 $6 Value Menu,” a move that’s set to compete with the rash of affordable dining options that are hitting restaurants and fast food chains alike.
The $2 $4 $6 Value Menu, which offers a range of meals at these fixed price points, was previously a hit among Denny’s patrons. Its return comes with the new Beetlejuice-inspired, “Say It Three Times Slam” at participating locations nationwide.
What’s on the Value Menu?
While the exact details of the menu items may vary by location, the value menu typically includes:
- $2 options: Add two buttermilk pancakes or Brioche French Toast to any meal
- $4 choices: Add a slice of plain or strawberry topped w/whipped cream New York York-style cheesecake to any meal.
- $6 selections: All You Can Eat Pancakes. And another option: Your choice of two buttermilk pancakes, two slices of Brioche French Toast, or biscuits & gravy, plus two eggs made to order, two crispy bacon strips, or two sausage links.
- $8 choices: Beetlejuice-inspired “Say It Three Times Slam” featuring: Three silver dollar chocolate chip pancakes topped with sweet vanilla cream, chocolate sauce, chocolate chips, and green sprinkles. Served with three eggs cooked your way and three crispy bacon strips. Or a Grilled Cheese with Soup or Salad. Or Classic Burger with Fries. Or the Super Slam.
- $10: Loaded Breakfast Sandwich Bundle: An all-pork sausage patty, egg, two crispy bacon strips, white cheddar cheese, and American cheese piled on a Brioche bun. Served with a side of crispy hash browns and a cup of hot coffee. Or Chicken Tenders and Fries. Or Mama’s Fried Chicken House Salad.
On August 21st, Denny’s debuted a limited-time Beetlejuice-themed menu which includes a Beetlejuice Burger, Afterlife Melt, a Cookies ‘N’ Scream Shake, and the aforementioned Say It Three Times Slam.
As Denny’s rolls out its revived $2 $4 $6 Value Menu nationwide, we’ll be watching closely to see how it impacts the company’s performance. This move could set a new standard for affordable dining options in sit-down restaurants, and lead to other restaurants following suit.
