It’s official: Arby’s now has a burger. Last month, the chain released its Wagyu Steakhouse Burger to the public. The burger will only be available for a limited time, with the offer ending on July 31st.

In the restaurant’s long 60-year history, this is the first time they’ve ever offered a burger, so the chain wanted to make sure they were getting it right. The patty is a blend of 52% American Wagyu and 48% ground beef, cooked medium-well to perfection with a sous-vide cooking technique.

This technique is often seen in fine dining and results in a juicy, slightly pink center and a crispy outside. What surprises fans the most is how impressively thick the Arby’s patty is compared to the mediocre, thin patties that have become the norm for every other fast-food burger.

The Wagyu beef is paired with a special burger sauce, American cheese, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickles, and red onion, all served between toasted brioche buns.

Customers seem to be pretty pleased with it, most agreeing that it’s better than what you’d find at a McDonald’s or In-N-Out, especially in terms of quality.

One popular Youtube channel, TheReportOfTheWeek, says the burger is enjoyable and tastes good, but finds the special sauce unnecessary. “I just don’t like how the burger is drenched in it,” he says.

Another customer insists the burger is “10x tastier than In-N-Out”

Arbys ’ main goal with this item was to bring a premium-style burger into the fast-food world, allowing themselves to offer a quality burger for a cheaper price.

Chief Marketing Officer of Arby’s Patrick Schwing reported, “As the meat experts, we’ve spent over two years of dedicated research and development to deliver a premium burger that redefines what’s possible from a drive-thru.” As far as fast food goes, it seems like the establishment has done a nice job introducing a burger that stands out.
