Jennifer Halstein, former Wendy’s patron, filed a lawsuit last Thursday against the burger franchise, alleging that they served her up a mouthful of hard, glass-like bits that resulted in breaking her teeth.

The incident occurred at a Wendy’s in Las Vegas on Rancho Drive where Jennifer had stopped to order a hamburger. When she began to bite into the burger and chew, she experienced an immediate “overwhelming” and “excruciating” pain.

The lawsuit described her reaction to the pain, as spitting the contents of her mouth into a napkin.

Upon inspection, she was able to see that there were hard, clear glass-like particles embedded within the hamburger meat.

“these hard and clear glass-like particles actually broke many of Ms. Haisten’s teeth”

The lawsuit read, “When she began to consume the hamburger prepared and cooked by Wendy’s and provided to her at the pick-up window, she experienced a tremendous sense of shock and fear as her hamburger was not juicy and tender as expected, but instead consisted of hard and clear glass-like particles that not only created loud crunching and breaking sounds, but in fact these hard and clear glass-like particles actually broke many of Ms. Haisten’s teeth.”

Jennifer is seeking to take the case to trial to recover at least $15,000 worth of damage incurred from the incident.

8 News reached out to Wendy’s for comment but the burger franchise is not talking.
