Here’s a glimpse at 9 intriguing McDonald’s menu items you probably won’t ever find stateside:

McKroket (Netherlands): This Dutch delight features a crispy fried ragout filled with creamy béchamel sauce, ground beef or veal, and peas.

Ebi Filet-O-Shrimp (Japan): Calling all seafood lovers! Japan offers a twist on the classic Filet-O-Fish with a crispy panko-breaded shrimp patty and a flavorful tartar sauce.

Peri Peri McSpicy Paneer (India): A vegetarian option sure to tantalize taste buds, the McSpicy Paneer features a deep-fried patty made with paneer cheese, a popular Indian ingredient, coated in a spicy red chili sauce.

Cheesy Bacon Fries (Canada): Canadians elevate the humble french fry with a decadent combination of melted cheese, crispy bacon bits, and sometimes even gravy.

Túró Rudi (Hungary): This sweet treat from Hungary is a fried dough ball filled with sweet curd cheese, dusted with powdered sugar – all loaded into a cup, McFlurry-style.

A former McDonald’s chef recently brought their existence up in a TikTok video, stating they will probably never come to the US because they compete with their bestselling staple, French fries.

Spicy Garlic Black Pepper McNuggets (Japan): These delicious-sounding McNuggets are a spin-off of the classic why a seasoning blend comprised of coarse-ground black pepper, garlic, white pepper and chili peppers. It comes served with a Garlic Soy Sauce Mayo Sauce.

Lotus Biscoff McFlurry (Germany, Singapore, France, Belgian, India, Cyprus, New Zealand, UK): The carmelized Biscoff cookie crumbles sit adrift in vanilla soft-serve ice cream. A sweet and decadent treat.

Teriyaki McBurger (Japan): First launched in 1989, the Teriyaki Burger features a pork patty, lettuce, sweet and spicy teriyaki sauce, and mayonnaise. There’s also a Teriyaki Chicken Filet-O that was introduced in 2018 and adds fried egg and sweet Teriyaki sauce.
