Krispy Kreme is bringing a legendary line-up of donuts based on Scooby-Doo (and his friends too) starting October 13th.
The chain will be offering four different Scooby-Doo Halloween themed donuts complete with their own custom packaging. They will be available individually or as a dozen in “The Case of the Disappearing Doughnuts” box.
Scooby-Doo Halloween Flavors
- Scooby Dooby-Doo Doughnut: The original glazed donut stars Scooby-Doo himself. Blue, and green frosting swirls around Scooby while orange cake batter icing provides a bed for him.
- Mystery Machine Doughnut: Takes the original glazed donut and pops the Scooby Van right on top of it. Black Sprinkles, and green icing adorn the donut to off-set the on-the-go van image.
- Spooky Monster Cookies N’ Kreme Doughnut and Jinkies!: A creme-filled donut with black icing, and Oreo pieces dotting it’s surface. As the name implies, a spooky Monster is the star of this show.
- Halloween Sprinkle Orange Sprinkle Doughnut. The original glazed donut base is festooned with orange Sprinkles, and orange frosting to round it out.
Also with the purchase of a dozen donuts, customers can score an additional dozen for just 13 cents.
Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, shared, “We’ve asked Scooby-Doo and his friends to solve ‘The Case of the Disappearing Doughnuts’ because it seems like whenever we put out a dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts, they vanish almost immediately. ScoobyDoo is the perfect franchise this Halloween season for a fun collection of all-new doughnuts and to solve this spooky mystery.”
Krispy Kreme was in the news last month for a different kind of mystery when a van full of donuts was ransacked. A pair of bears were caught on video going went hog wild on the Krispy Kreme delivery van until they had their fill, and eventually traipsed off into the woods.
