Burger King is adding an interesting new sweet treat to the menu called the Frozen Cotton Candy beverage! It’s available nationwide starting April 11th, and this vibrant blue drink combines the taste of blue raspberry with the classic flavor of cotton candy.
Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer at Burger King North America, said in a statement: “After bringing the heat last summer with our Frozen Fanta Kickin’ Mango, we wanted to cool things off a bit this season with our new, refreshingly sweet Frozen Cotton Candy beverage offerings.”
The press release describes the drink as a delicious balance of flavors that will remind you of childhood summers, trips to the amusement park, or that iconic cloud of cotton candy from the ballpark vendor.
What is the Frozen Cotton Candy Beverage?
For those who want to take their sugary beverage experience to the next level, Burger King is also introducing a new Cold Foam Cloud topping. This can be added to the Frozen Cotton Candy drink, or any other frozen beverage on the menu, for an extra charge.
Burger King’s statement continued: “Our innovative cold foam topper is just another way we’re bringing ‘Have It Your Way’ to life, giving Guests the option to add another layer of flavor to their frozen beverages.”
It’s been over a month since Burger King has launched a new item, the last being the Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap. Their biggest competitor McDonald’s has been busy going nationwide with their Krispy Kreme partnership, and bringing back the popular breakfast bagel sandwiches.
Maybe Burger King will be coming up with new items as we get closer to the warmer months, if this Cotton Candy beverage is any indication.
