Fans of the iconic Ghostbusters franchise, will be thrilled to hear about this one…Checkers & Rally’s have partnered with Sony Pictures and The ICEE Company to offer two Ghostbusters-themed ICEE flavors in celebration of the recent release of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
The ICEE flavors are available starting now, for a limited time.
Ryan Joy, executive chef at Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc., said in a press release: “Fans have long awaited this movie premiere, and we invite everyone to satisfy their taste buds on their way to the theaters. Our new ICEEs are a really fun twist on a popular menu item, so grab one (or more) before they disappear.“
The new Ghostbusters movie premiered on March 22nd, and has earned almost $140 million so far. It centers around the Spengler family as they return to New York City and team up with the original Ghostbusters. The new threat? An ancient artifact that unleashes icy ghosts that threaten to plunge the city into a second Ice Age.
Ghostbuster ICEE Flavors
Participating Checkers & Rally’s locations nationwide are serving up “BOO Raspberry” and “Slimer’s Green Apple” ICEEs.
Boo Raspberry conjures up images of the iconic red ghost logo with its sweet and tart raspberry taste. Slimer’s Green Apple pays homage to the franchise’s resident mischievous green ghost represented by a refreshingly tart apple flavor.
Regular and large sizes are available, starting at $3.19.
Kimmra Hingher, VP of marketing for The ICEE Company said in a press release: “We’re excited to bring the fun of Ghostbusters to life. These limited-edition flavors are a delicious treat for Ghostbusters fans of all ages.”
