Centerville, Utah – A Doordash delivery driver has been charged for allegedly delivering customer a drink filled with feces.
The customer, a Utah woman, reportedly ordered Wendy’s through the Doordash app, and upon delivery, she drank from the delivered soda, only to find a gruesome ingredient.
According to a report by KSL TV, the incident, occurred on June 30th, and led to the Doordash driver’s account being deactivated, and later, arrested.
The woman, who has not been identified, told police she ordered food and a drink from Wendy’s and had it delivered through DoorDash. The police verified her claims by observing the feces in her cup, and interviewing the Wendy’s employee’s where her food was prepared, and picked up by the driver.
According to the police report, Wendy’s employee’s say they made the order, observed the driver come into the establishment, peek into the bathroom, and pick up the food up.
The affidavit stated: “After this, (Goncalves) collected the victim’s order and took this into the restroom and stayed inside with the food and drink for 14 minutes.”

Goncalves, who was captured on video from a doorbell camera, was stopped for a traffic violation on Friday and subsequently interviewed about the DoorDash incident.
Officers showed him footage of the delivery, and he denied being the person in the footage. It wasn’t until he was shown the security footage from Wendy’s that he fessed up to picking up the order from Wendy’s.
He also confirmed that he’d been in the Wendy’s bathroom with the customer’s order but initially, only that he’d urinated while in there. Eventually, he also admitted to defecating in the bathroom as well. He wouldn’t admit to placing feces in the cup though, and suggested that the victim did it herself.
Police subsequently arrested the DoorDash driver, Giuseppe S. Sicari Goncalves, 22. He faces a number of charges, including misdemeanor counts of surreptitious administration of a deleterious substance, propelling a bodily substance, reckless endangerment, obstruction of justice, property damage, and creating a nuisance.
The affidavit continued: “Giussepe admitted to going inside the restroom, getting the food and drink, taking the order to the restroom, defecating, and then delivering the food, but was adamant that he did not place feces into the drink cup.”
Last year, in another incident, a delivery driver with GrubHub delivered a customer his milkshake sans the shake, but heavy on the urine. That time, the driver admitted to mistakenly urinating in the customer’s cup because he had to go to the bathroom while in his car.
Grubhub terminated the driver after he was reported.
DoorDash has yet to publicly comment on the feces cup incident. Goncalves has been booked into Davis County Jail.
