Remember Hot ‘n Now? The fast-food chain known for its affordable burgers and speedy service? After years of dormancy, this classic brand is making a comeback, and it’s hotter than ever.

Hot ‘n Now first burst onto the scene in 1984, quickly gaining a loyal following with its simple menu and unbeatable prices. The chain’s signature drive-thru-only model and unique slanted roof design became instantly recognizable. The value was unmatched with 39-cent burgers, 39-cent fries and 39-cent drinks.

The chain had over 150 locations at the peak of their success but despite its initial success, Hot ‘n Now filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and eventually faded away, leaving many longing for a taste of nostalgia and just two locations.

There has been one location left in Sturgis, Michigan…until now.

The Revival

Thanks to a partnership between Gun Lake Investments and developer Jeff Konczak, Hot ‘n Now is set to make a triumphant return. with two new locations slated to open in Michigan in 2025, and plans for further expansion across the country.

Koczak said remembers dining at the chain fondly, “I survived on Hot ‘n Now for a year when I didn’t have two nickels to rub together.”

The new Hot ‘n Now restaurants will stay true to the brand’s roots, offering a streamlined menu of classic burgers, fries, and shakes at prices that won’t break the bank. The focus will remain on speed and convenience, with a drive-thru-only setup reminiscent of the original locations.

The two new locations are slated for an early summer release, one in Wayland and the other in Alpena, Michigan.

While the return of Hot ‘n Now is sure to delight longtime fans, the brand is also poised to capture the hearts (and stomachs) of a new generation. In a fast-food landscape dominated by high prices and complicated menus, Hot ‘n Now’s simplicity and affordability are a breath of fresh air.

The menu offers staples like burgers, coney dogs, shakes, sandwiches, fries and much more for the fast food enthusiast.

Hot ‘n Now isn’t the only chain looking for a comeback – Chi Chi’s and Steak ‘n Ale are just two more making moves on a similar trajectory.

The Future is Hot

With its winning formula of nostalgia, value, and convenience, Hot ‘n Now is ready to reclaim its place in the fast-food world. Keep an eye out for a location near you, and get ready to experience the taste of a true classic.
