Not to be outdone by the return of Taco Bell’s, Mexican Pizza – Pizza Hut is attempting to cash in on the madness as fans clamor for the return of the Mexican Pizza.
The ‘Italian Taco’ (as they’re calling it) is slated to hit the Hut on September 15th and has some people in a fit.
In essence, ‘The Italian Taco’ is just a single pizza slice folded, which is a common technique people employ to eat a pizza on the regular.
The ‘taco” features a hand-tossed taco shell stuffed with a classic marinara sauce, melted mozzarella cheese and whichever fillings you desire.

Okay, so only a few outlets are reporting on this new addition to Pizza Hut and not much can be found to confirm the reports. Thankfully, very little snooping around confirms the tongue-in-cheek nature of the ‘Italian Taco’.
This minor publicity stunt is looking to gain interest while attempting to capitalize on the Mexican Pizza craze and remind the public that ‘pizza’ belongs in their domain.
Pizza Hut is asking customers to take pictures of their folded over pizza ‘tacos’ and post them #nooneoutpizzasthehut.
