Jack in the Box is expanding its reach into the Southeast with a whopping 15 new locations planned for Georgia. This marks the first foray for the chain into the Peach State, signifying a strategic push to make its presence known in the southern United States.
The news comes on the heels of Jack in the Box’s recent announcement of 30 new franchise commitments in Florida. Tim Linderman, the company’s chief development officer, expressed excitement about this significant step forward, highlighting Georgia’s thriving business environment and strong consumer base as a perfect fit for Jack in the Box’s 24/7 menu.
While specific locations haven’t been finalized yet, Jack in the Box plans to strategically target growing markets within Georgia, with a focus on cities like Macon, Augusta, and Savannah. These areas are expected to offer ample opportunities to connect with new customers and become embedded within local communities.
According to a Jack In The Box press release: “With the addition of 15 new franchise commitments in and over 30 recently announced commitments in Florida, we’re excited to bring our craveable 24/7 menu to even more communities. Georgia’s thriving business environment and strong consumer base make it a perfect fit for our continued growth.”
Franchisee, Ed Zausch will be bringing 10 locations to Orlando, FL. He says he noticed the absence of the chain when he first moved to the city:
“I’ve been a huge fan of Jack in the Box for many years. When I moved to Orlando, I noticed there weren’t any locations nearby, which drove me to inquire about franchise opportunities.”
The new restaurants will embrace the full Jack in the Box experience, offering dine-in, drive-thru, and mobile ordering options for maximum customer convenience. This aligns with the brand’s reputation for catering to busy lifestyles with its late-night hours and menu variety, featuring everything from classic burgers and tacos to breakfast items and indulgent milkshakes.
Last November, the chain announced their intention to move into four new states with a total of 123 locations planned at the time. The initial announcement stated the restaurants would be spread out across Arkansas, Florida, Montana, Wyoming and Mexico. And now Georgia, too. The brand hasn’t had a presence on the East coast since the 70’s and 80’s.
The expansion plan is Jack in the Box’s latest commitment to dynamic growth and its confidence in the Southeast market. With 15 new restaurants on the horizon in Georgia, and 14 restaurants in Florida, residents can soon expect to experience the Jack in the Box brand for themselves
