Fried chicken giant KFC is testing the waters with a brand-new menu item that’s sure to turn heads: the KFC Chicken Quesadilla. This isn’t your average quesadilla; KFC is putting their own spin on the popular dish by featuring their iconic fried chicken as the main attraction.
The new item is currently being tested at multiple locations in four states; CT, NJ, NY and TN. Except for CT which only has one location testing the quesadilla.

What is KFC’s Chicken Quesadilla?
The KFC Chicken Quesadilla features shredded, in-house fried chicken smothered in their signature gravy, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. A melty three-cheese blend adds a creamy counterpoint to the savory chicken and gravy. But KFC doesn’t stop there. To personalize your experience, you can choose your favorite dipping sauce or add a fiery kick with their hot sauce.
Limited Availability for Now
Currently, the KFC Chicken Quesadilla is only available in select locations for a limited time before it becomes a nationwide offering.
This is actually KFC’s first rodeo in the quesadilla game in the US but internationally, they’ve had it on the menu in several iterations. In Spain, it was the Chickadilla and featured boneless fried chicken and crushed Doritos. It was launched during a promo for the Day of The Dead in 2019.
Then there was the Qurrito in Slovakia. This one had pieces of spicy chicken, cheddar cheese, BBQ sauce. There are others as well but these are the most notable.
If you’re in the US and would like to know if your local KFC has the testing Chicken Quesadilla – check this list of participating restaurants.
If you’re in these areas, keep your eyes peeled at your local KFC. You might just be one of the lucky few to try this unique and potentially finger lickin’ good twist on a classic dish.
