KFC Canada is ringing in the holiday season with a sandwich inspired by the holidays called the Festive Chicken Sandwich.
This will be the first time that KFC has offered a chicken sandwich with these specific elements in the mix. Think Wawa’s Gobbler, and Quick Check’s Thanksgiving Sub.
The Festive Chicken Sandwich launched on November 15th, and will run for the duration of the month and likely into December. The chicken sandwich packs holiday tradition inside of a bun layered with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and white meat chicken.
Katherine Bond-Debicki, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC Canada said on the new chicken sandwich:
“We wanted to create something so indulgent that Canadians would feel compelled to take a beat out of the holiday rush, slow down and truly savour every finger lickin’ good bite.”
Also on the roster is the Festive Favourites Feast styled after a traditional Thanksgiving meal. A bucket of Original Recipe drumsticks comes with stuffing, and a choice of sides served inside of a bucket decorated for the holidays.
Debicki continued…“Need a break from cooking? We got you. Looking for food so good it will bring a hush to your dinner table? You’re covered. Because one less thing on your holiday to-do list is just what you need.”
KFC recently announced that they would be testing a new version of KFC’s Chicken Tenders using the Original Recipe seasoning in the bone-in chicken offerings. This will be the first time that the chain will use the seasoning on a chicken tender. The Original Recipe Chicken Tenders are now testing in Cincinatti.
