Krispy Kreme is making waves with a new, unprecedented flavor combination. The donut chain is partnering with three iconic chip flavors to bring us a never-been-done before snack donut. The daring donut creations are testing only in the Philippines, for a limited time.
Krispy Kreme Philippines has unveiled a line of donuts featuring crushed Doritos, Cheetos, and Sour Cream and Onion Ruffles chips, along with a cheese filling. Details are still emerging, but early reports are abuzz with photos of these intriguing donuts. From what we can gather, they come in three varieties, including: a cheese-filled donut topped with crushed Nacho Cheese Doritos, and a cheese-filled donut dusted with Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos.
White Choco Donut Flavors
- White Choco ‘n Doritos Nacho Cheese: This donut combines a cheese-filled center with white chocolate frosting dipped in the bold taste of Doritos Nacho Cheese for a double-dose of cheesy goodness.
- White Choco ‘n Cheetos Cheddar Jalapeño: This option adds a spicy kick to the mix, featuring the fiery flavor of Cheetos Cheddar Jalapeño atop the cheese-filled donut and classic white chocolate frosting.
- White Choco ‘n Ruffles Sour Cream & Onion: This donut offers a tangy twist. The creamy cheese filling pairs with the sour cream and onion flavor of Ruffles with white chocolate frosting.
Doritos may be new to the donut scene but the chips aren’t new to fast food chains. The cheesy chip has partnered with Taco Bell in the past for the crazy popular Doritos Locos Tacos. And now they’re at it again – both brands recently announced the coming together for a new Doritos flavor…Baja Fiery Mango. The collaboration is a celebration of MTN Dew’s Baja Blast 20th anniversary with Taco Bell, that’s set to debut April 28th nationwide.
This isn’t the first time Krispy Kreme has ventured outside the box. They often dream up creative, seasonal donut flavors, but a savory-sweet Doritos mashup is an entirely new twist in the donut arena.
Will the Dorito Donut Make it to the US?
There’s no official word from Krispy Kreme on whether this cheese-chip-infused donut will hit the domestic market but buzz online suggests that there’s some demand for it.
