The return of McDonalds legendary Halloween Boo Buckets are rumored for an October 17th drop. And that’s not all…there’s talk of a fourth bucket design but so far the details from McDonald’s are tight-lipped.
The internet has been a-chatter with news of the return of the Happy Meal Boo Buckets and the rumor of four designs hitting the deck, and of course…when precisely they will begin making their likely scheduled appearance.
Last year the buckets were launched on October 18th and were available until the 31st. It was the first time in a few years that they had returned in their original state as the ghoul, the witch, and the pumpkin. Even though they were first introduced in the 80’s, the Boo Buckets have been on and off since their inception, trading time with Charlie Brown buckets or Scooby-Doo-themed buckets.
Burger King has taken a page out of McDonald’s spooky book, and launched “Trick or Heat” buckets last week. Burger King designed them to go along with the return of the Ghost Pepper Whopper and Ghost Pepper Chicken Fries. This marks the first time that BK has put out a Halloween-themed bucket.
Keep on the look-out for the Boo Buckets coming to a McDonald’s near you. Typically supplies are limited, and once they run out…they become collectible!
