Gettzville, NY – A mother named Tiffany Floyd took to the internet after she purchased a meal for herself and her 4-year-old daughter at Burger King. Upon closer inspection, she was horrified to find the child’s food covered in blood.

The first sign of trouble came as Floyd was driving away from the drive-thru when her daughter starting to eat her cheeseburger, said: “Mom, I don’t want ketchup.”

Floyed told, People: “Instantly I grabbed the bag because I thought maybe they messed up her order. I looked at it, felt something wet, and thought it was ketchup and you could tell it was human blood.”

The next disturbing part was when Floyd immediately contacted the Burger King restaurant, where she spoke with a manager who reportedly confirmed that an employee had cut their finger earlier in the day. Their glib reaction shocked Floyd to her core.

“I spoke to the manager, and he paused and said, ‘Yes. I had a worker here cut their hand right before your food was made and bagged. The worker knew he cut himself but did not think he was bleeding that bad.’

After the manager offered her a refund, she declined and instead, hung up, and called the local health department.

The location ended up being closed for a sanitization procedure, and to re-train staff.

Floyd says her daughter was traumatized after the incident, refusing to eat because she thinks the food will contain blood. Her daughter also needs to have bloodwork done on a monthly basis to check for diseases.

Burger King released a statement expressing deep concern over the incident and assuring customers of their commitment to food safety. The company also stated that they are cooperating fully with local health authorities in their investigation.

The Burger King in Gettzville also released a statement, saying: “We expect the restaurant to re-open Monday, July 29, and are fully paying team members for any lost shifts during this temporary shutdown.”

The incident has raised serious questions about food safety and hygiene standards at fast-food establishments. Many are calling for stricter regulations and increased oversight to prevent similar occurrences in the future.

Floyd wants to bring awareness to the situation to prevent others from going through a similar ordeal.

“Every time you get food through a drive-thru, you open the bag up and start eating without even looking. I just want other people to check.”
