The scene at a Worcester, Ma Popeye’s last Saturday quickly turned chaotic when an employee told customers at the drive-thru that they were out of something they wanted to order. The fall-out that ensued resulted in a battered Popeye’s restaurant, in addition to a full-on assault of the employees working there.

It started innocently enough as two men waited in the drive-thru of the Popeye’s to place their order. The trouble began when their turn to order arrived, and they were informed that one of the items requested was unavailable or out of stock.

The two then cursed at and threatened the employee at the window.

The situation further degenerated once the pair parked their car, and decided to take their dissatisfaction with service to another level. They made their way inside of the fast food establishment and made their feelings known.

Upon entering, the food started to fly as the two vandalized the inside of Popeye’s, throwing food at employees and smashing any equipment in their path, including a register, printer, a TV, and a computer.

When they went back outside, they threw a rock at the drive-thru window, breaking it as they exited the premises.

By the time police arrived, the pair had fled the scene leaving behind destruction in their wake.

It’s not known at this time, what exactly Popeye’s had ran out of, that incited such a violent reaction.

Police are still investigating to identify the pair involved in the unwarranted assault.
