Sonic Drive-In is heating up the fast-food scene with its latest burger: the Sonic Smasher. The burger is set to launch nationwide on August, 5th…although some markets are seeing an early release through the SonicApp.
Ryan Dickerson, the chief marketing officer at Sonic said in a statement to Food & Wine:
“Consumers should be able to indulge in a premium cheeseburger without having to pay the high costs charged by many fast-casual burger brands. Our mission at Sonic has always been to bring fun, craveable food to our guests at unbeatable prices.“
What Makes the Sonic Smasher So Special?
The Sonic Smasher is no ordinary burger. Crafted with precision, each patty is hand-smashed to order, resulting in a crispy exterior and juicy interior. Layered with melty American cheese, tangy Smasher sauce, crunchy pickles, and diced onions, this burger is a symphony of textures and flavors. Served on a soft potato bun, it’s the ultimate comfort food experience.
But Sonic isn’t stopping there. For those craving an extra-special treat, the Triple Sonic Smasher packs three juicy patties into one mouthwatering masterpiece.
Sonic also launched a permanent Value Menu recently called the FUN.99 Menu. It has 6 options to choose from, including the brand new item, the Queso Wrap which comes in two varieties: Bacon Ranch Queso Wrap, and the Southwest Crunch Queso Wrap
A Smashing Value?
So how much is the Smasher Burger.? Reports are saying it starts at $6.49 but we’re also hearing $7 from numerous sources, so it definitely varies by location. The Triple Sonic Smasher is $7.49.
