Taco Bell is testing the waters on two new drinks, a shake-style frozen one, and a coffee-based frozen drink…the Churros Chillers, and Coffee Chillers.

Before putting the Chillers on the menu nationwide, the chain will be testing them starting December 15th, in two markets…one in Mission Viejo, California and the other in Irvine, California.

Taco Bell talked a bit about the flavors behind the Chillers saying that they were, “inspired by authentic Mexican flavors.”

The Coffee Chiller is served in a 16 oz cup which gets a layer of flavoring “swirled” around inside, then, “blended iced coffee, topped with a layer of cold foam, available in Mexican Chocolate, Caramel Churro and Spiced Vanilla” is poured over the flavoring.

The Churro Chiller has “flavor on the inside, filled with a blended sweet shake and topped with a layer of cold foam and churro crumbles.”

It’s available in “Mexican Chocolate, Dulce de Leche Coffee, Wild Strawberry and Sweet Vanilla. It wouldn’t be Taco Bell, without an extra twist – the Sweet Vanilla Churro Chiller is visually captivating, with a purple tint.”

Both Chillers will be available at the price of $4.19 each.

Taylor Montgomery, Taco Bell U.S. chief marketing officer said:

‘We’re always pushing the boundaries to deliver bold and craveable Mexican-inspired flavors our fans have come to expect from us and these frozen drinks showcase how far our innovation goes. We are constantly listening to what our fans are craving next and we are thrilled to offer them a frozen creation that’s just as delicious and desirable as their favorite menu item.”

Taco Bell brought back the discontinued Double Decker Taco last week after an approximate five-year menu hiatus. The item is famous for it’s two taco concept, which sandwiches a layer of refried beans between the tortillas. Then it’s followed up with the filling of; beef, lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese. The Double Decker Taco can be had for $2.99, and a supreme version for $3.69.
