Taco Bell has announced a significant update to its popular $7 Lux Box. The revamped meal deal now includes two fan-favorite items: the Doritos Locos Taco and a Chicken Chalupa, replacing two previous offerings in the box.
The $7 Lux Box, known for providing a filling meal at an affordable price point, was added to Taco Bell’s menu a few months ago. Now, the chain has decided to swap out two of the included items, for a two different items.
Updated $7 Luxe Box
- Chicken Chalupa Supreme (replaced the Beef Chalupa Supreme)
- Beefy 5-Layer Burrito
- Doritos Locos Tacos (replaced the Double Stacked Taco)
- Chips & Nacho Cheese Sauce
- Medium fountain drink
The Doritos Locos Taco, introduced in 2012, quickly became one of Taco Bell’s most successful menu items. Its signature Doritos-flavored shell adds a unique crunch and taste to the classic taco. The Chicken Chalupa, with its soft yet crispy fried flatbread shell, offers a different texture and protein option for customers.
The updated $7 Lux Box is set to roll out nationwide next week. Taco Bell encourages customers to check their local restaurant or the Taco Bell app for the most up-to-date menu information and pricing, as some variations may occur by location.
Another exciting Taco Bell addition is the launch of the new Nostalgia Menu on October 31st. The menu showcases discontinued favorites from five past decades, including:
- The Tostada
- Green Burrito
- The Meximelt
- Gordita Beef Supreme
- The Caramel Apple Empanada (December 3rd to Dec. 18th)
The only item from the Nostalgia menu to not debut along with the rest of the menu, will be the Caramel Apple Empanada. It will be available from December 3rd to the 18th, and only from the app.
I’s clear that Taco Bell is not afraid to shake things up, even with its most reliable offerings. Only time will tell how this latest menu update will be received by the masses, but for now, Doritos Locos and Chicken Chalupa fans have something to look forward to in their next $7 Lux Box.
