Burger King is breaking into the world of chicken wraps with the BK Royal Crispy Wraps which launched this Monday on menu’s in select BK’s nationwide.
Similar to McDonald’s now discontinued Snack Wraps, the BK Royal Crispy Wraps are a snack-sized, hand-held alternative to the standard burger and chicken sandwich fare that Burger King is famed for.
A press release provided by Burger King says that the price-point for one wrap is $2.99.
Burger King’s Chief Marketing Officer, Pat O’Toole said in a press release:
“The BK Royal Crispy Wraps offer our Guests an all-new way to enjoy our BK Royal Crispy Chicken without sacrificing quality ingredients, bold flavors, and the chance to have it your way.”
BK Royal Crispy Wrap Flavors
All three flavors feature crispy chicken with tomato, lettuce, and one of the following flavors as the center-piece:
- Classic
- Spicy
- Honey Mustard
The Snack Wraps were a popular menu item for 10 years 2006 to their discontinuation in 2016. The official reason for discontinuing the Snack Wraps? Time-consuming to make. Like BK’s new Royal Crispy Wraps, they came in several flavors, including; honey mustard, ranch, and Chipotle BBQ.
Both Wendy’s and KFC have introduced their own versions of the chicken wrap within the past year. Dunkin’ Donuts also had a breakfast wrap come out in the spring-time. Burger King had been testing the waters in a limited market, and the wraps passed with flying colors.
The BK Royal Crispy Wraps will be available for a limited time.
