Burger King is pushing the hot pink envelope with it’s latest burger “innovation”, the Barbie Burger, which ties-in with the upcoming Barbie movie release on July 21st starring, Ryan Gosling, and Margot Robbie.
Burger King Brazil announced the new limited-time menu addition, the Barbie Combo, which consists of a Pink Burger, Ken’s potatoes, a dessert and a shake.
What’s inside the BK Barbie Combo?
The Barbie Combo comes with a menagerie of Barbie-themed contents that are pretty much just the normal offerings dressed up with pink-themed packaging.
The Pink Burger: Is a standard cheeseburger with bacon bits, and a mysterious-looking pink sauce advertised as having a “smoky flavor”.
Ken’s Potatoes: Standard French fries in a Barbie-themed container.
Barbie Milkshake: A vanilla Milkshake with Strawberry Nesquik and a pink donut to boot.
There is no indication that Burger King plans to offer the Barbie Burger or Combo in the states or anywhere besides Brazil, but that didn’t stop the comments from rolling in on the burgers off-putting appearance. One person questioned if they added Pepto Bismol to the ingredients.
Burger King has been coming up with some lofty creations recently. Earlier this week, the Real Cheeseburger was announced, and released in Burger King Thailand.
It contains no meat, and twenty slices of cheese. Customers were absolutely disgusted by it, and took to social media to denounce the madness.
