This week, Burger King’s in Thailand introduced what they’re calling “the Real Cheeseburger”. The ultra-cheesy concoction is made up of a staggering twenty slices of cheese.
Burger King announced the “burger” last Sunday saying: “This is no joke. This is for real.
The Real Cheeseburger looks like it consists solely of a hunk or brick of cheese, made up of individual slices on a bun – but once piled together the cheese’s solidify, becoming one mass. There doesn’t even appear be a sauce or mayonnaise to provide some relief from the assured coagulation effect once it’s in one’s mouth.
Research into customer’s thoughts on the new menu item, reveals a large general consensus of pure disgust for the processed affair.
Customer’s and non-customer’s alike shared their thoughts on the cheesy wonder via Twitter and TikTok, some, after ordering the cheese-burger for the first time. “This is an insane amount of cheese in one burger.” And…”this was a bit too much.”
“Just tried it today out of curiosity. As a cheese-lover this is just awful.”
“I can’t believe people are seriously eating that.”
“Thought this was a joke and photoshopped but nope…”
Delivery orders were cancelled in Bangkok because they were running out of stock, and needed to reserve what they had left for walk-in customers.
This new creation is definitely up there with the top “strange food” ever created by a fast food restaurant. All indication points to this being a short-lived burger that will live on only through “weird food” lists.
