Wendy’s is finally releasing their highly anticipated Saucy Nuggets nationwide after a successful test run in Ohio which began this past December. These aren’t your average nuggets – they’re bathed in four delicious sauces for a punch in every bite.
The roll-out begins June 10th with sneak peak access on June 3rd specifically for rewards members.
Four Saucy Flavors
Unlike traditional nuggets that come with a side of sauce for dipping, Wendy’s Saucy Nuggets take a different approach. The nuggets are tossed in your choice of four sauces, ensuring they’re fully coated for maximum flavor.
Wendy’s isn’t skimping on variety. The Saucy Nuggets come in four crave-worthy flavors:
- Honey BBQ: A sweet and tangy classic that’s perfect for those who like a touch of sweetness with their savory.
- Buffalo: For the spice lovers, this fiery sauce will tantalize your taste buds.
- Ghost Pepper: If you dare to take the heat, this ultra-spicy option will challenge your limits.
- Garlic Parmesan: A creamy and cheesy option that offers a delightful savory twist.
Interestingly enough, KFC recently released their own version of Saucy Nuggets. Same name and concept. Last month they debuted the coated nuggets with a choice of five sauces:
- Honey Siracha
- Korean BBQ
- Sticky Chicky Sweet ‘n Sour Sauce:
- Korean BBQ
- Nashville Hot
- Georgia Gold
Limited Time Offer or Menu Staple?
While Wendy’s hasn’t confirmed if the Saucy Nuggets will be a permanent menu item, the nationwide rollout suggests a tentative testing period. And since they were a hit during the first testing phase, there’s a good chance they could stick around.
