Burger King is adding a new chicken wrap to the chains repertoire…the Roasted Garlic Chicken wrap to join alongside the three BK Royal Crispy Wrap line-up already in play.
This variation is only releasing at locations in Canada for now, perhaps to test the waters before considering an international release.
The Roasted Garlic Chicken Wrap gets points for featuring a roasted garlic aioli sauce. A soft white flour tortilla tucks away a breaded chicken filet, lettuce, tomatoes, and garlic chips in addition to the aioli.
It will run approximately CA$3.99, or about $2.91 US for one wrap.
Burger King may have borrowed from the popularity of McDonald’s snack wraps, and released their own version of the snack wrap called the BK Royal Crispy Wraps early this year. The wraps consist of three versions; the classic, spicy, and honey mustard. Burger King tested them out in a limited market before serving them nationwide, at select locations.
Burger King also released a Roasted Garlic Whopper last week in Canada. It starts with the classic Burger King beef patty which gets followed up with American cheese, smoked bacon, garlic chips, and then finished off with the new Roasted Garlic aioli sauce they’re testing.
The Roasted Garlic flavors are limited-time only offerings, and staying in Canada for now unless demand proves to be enough to take it beyond Canadian borders. If sales reach a certain mark, there may be enough garlic in this for all of us outside of…Canada.
