Wendy’s is serving up a taste of France, without the need for a passport. Their new limited-edition French Onion Cheeseburger brings all the rich flavors of the classic French soup, and stuffs it inside of a burger.

The French Onion Cheeseburger has launched in Canada for an unspecified amount of time. The strange thing is – about a month ago, an identical looking-burger, the Crispy Onion Burger was deployed in the Bahamas. For some reason, it’s being introduced under varying names in different markets. What might be happening is that, Wendy’s is testing the burger variants to gauge customers respone before moving it to the states.

What Is The French Onion Cheeseburger?

The limited-time offering features a juicy, quarter-pound patty but the star of the show, is the topping combination. Caramelized onions, cooked to a sweet and savory perfection, joined by crispy onions to add a satisfying crunch. Seasoned mayo sauce ties everything together, for the delectable essence of French onion soup.

The lastest new item to come to Wendy’s in the US, is the Dreamsicle Frosty. It’s a never-been done Frosty flavor, launched just in time for Spring. It pairs the classic orange Creamsicle taste with Wendy’s iconic Vanilla flavoring. This is another one that won’t be sticking around forever, it will likely be replaced by a summer-inspired Frosty as we get into the warmer months.

Whether you’re a longtime fan of French onion soup or looking for a new and exciting burger option, Wendy’s Canada’s French Onion Cheeseburger is definitely a tasty-looking addition to the menu. Hopefully it passes the test internationally and makes its way over to the United States so we can get in on the action…
