McDonald’s has confirmed the date that the elusive McRib will be returning to menus nationwide. It’s been over a year since the McRib was last offered to customers, and now the wait is almost over.
Starting November 11th, the McRib will officially be once again, available to order. Last year, the chain spooked customers by announcing the supposed last run of the McRib in the ominously named “McRib Farewell Tour”.
The McRib Countdown
Now that the jig is up, diehard fans of the saucy sandwich can let out a collective sigh of relief.

The return of the McRib is bittersweet because it will only be live for about a month or even possibly the duration of November.
The infamous sandwich got it’s started in Kansas in 1981, and once customers caught onto the new addition, they were sold. It seems to get the majority of it’s success from the fact that it’s reign on the menu is like a holiday, fleeting and highly anticipated.
The soft sub-style bun accommodates a rib patty soaked in tangy BBQ sauce which is then dotted with onion slivers, and then of course finished off with…pickles. As for the cost of the McRib? The national average price is around $4.93.
McDonald’s has been getting flack for their menus rising prices, and the kicker is that the chain is posting soaring profits because of it. In fact, the chain is getting more business from the middle and upper income subset, while lower income class visits have declined. Is McDonald’s no longer the place to go for a cheap meal? Are they leaning into a pricier model for upper income customers?
Before things get out of control, and the McRib becomes a $10 sandwich, if you’re so inclined…you may want to try the McRib before things really get pricey.
