Move over, Vanilla (for a little while at least), because Wendy’s is serving up a blast from the past this spring with their brand new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty. That’s right, folks – the iconic creamy treat is getting a citrusy twist, inspired by the beloved childhood popsicle
In early February we first learned the rumor of a possible Dreamsicle Frosty in the pipeline from the food news Instagram account, the Snackolator. It hadn’t been confirmed by Wendy’s until now, and we also have the official launch date.
The Dreamsicle Frosty combines the dreamy creaminess of the classic Vanilla Frosty with a burst of sweet, citrusy orange. It’s basically like your favorite childhood ice cream pop got a frosty makeover!
This isn’t just some half-hearted attempt at a new flavor, either. Wendy’s went all out, testing different citrus options like mandarin, yuzu, and even navel orange, to create the perfect balance of orange and vanilla cream.
The last iteration of the seasonal Frosty was the Peppermint Frosty which dropped on November 15th, and was available for a limited time.
So, why the switch-up? Spring is just around the corner, and this vibrant orange treat is their way of ushering in the warmer weather. Plus, let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to indulge in a taste of nostalgia?
Here’s the thing, the Orange Dreamsicle Frosty is only here for a limited time, so mark your calendars and head to your nearest Wendy’s starting March 19th.
