Checker’s/Rally’s is coming in hot with three new burgers on the grill…the Wild West Burger, the Sweet Onion Burger, and the Bacon Pepper Jack Buford Burger. All three are landing on the menu starting this week, at both Checker’s and Rally’s.
The two-in-one chain just announced these menu additions, noting that they will be around for a limited time. They didn’t say how long they wouldn’t be sticking around for so assume they mean “one month”. In the land of fast food, “for a limited-time” usually means about thirty days.
One Western, One Sweet and a Big Buford Burger Come To Town
The Wild West Burger is based off of western-style burger fare. It has one beef burger patty loaded up with with slice of American Cheese, Crispy Onion Tanglers, and BBQ Sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.
The Sweet Onion Burger has one beef patty topped with diced red onions, Crispy Onion Tanglers, and a Sweet Onion Sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.
The Bacon Pepper Jack Buford burger uses two 100% beef hand-seasoned patties, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, mayo, a Sweet & Smoky BBQ Sauce, creamy pepper jack cheese, and bits of bacon… served on a toasted bun.
Checkers competitor, Sonic just introduced an interesting take on a burger – a Bacon and Peanut Butter Burger called the SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger. It has two 100% all-beef patties, creamy peanut butter, bacon, grilled onions, and melted cheese on a toasted bun.
A news release by Sonic described the new burger saying: “These flavors may sound too extreme, but don’t knock ‘em until you try ‘em!. Bacon makes everything better, and it’s the perfect savory, crunchy complement to sweet and creamy peanut butter!”
There’s quite a few new burgers on the market this week in the fast food world. Whether you like peanut butter, and bacon, a sweeter burger, or a huge Buford-style burger flush with bacon…you’re bound to find something you like. For a limited-time only, of course!
