An alteraction erupted this past Tuesday between a man and a woman at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Hudson Valley, NY. The incident led to a man being charged with second degree harassment, and third-degree felony criminal mischief.

The catalyst for the spat? A car had allegedly cut him off in the drive-thru lane. The resulting blowback for the deed involved the man getting out of his car in the heat of the moment.

Drive-thru’s might have more fights in them than a boxing ring

Officers were called to the scene where they found both parties in the parking lot, and interviewed each side to get the full story.

Carmel Police Lieutenant Michael Bodo reported that the man felt he’d been cut off, and had left his vehicle to scream at the woman over her wrongdoing.

However, he wasn’t satisfied with using just his words to show his anger for the situation because he ended up punching her vehicle and inflicting damage to it.

A court date for the man is set for June 5th where he will appear at Carmel Justice Court for his actions.

Even if the woman did indeed cut him off in the drive-thru, the man took it to a physical level and that offense has no justification.

With tempers flaring, and even violence in drive-thrus nationwide, (especially when patrons are considered slighted or an order doesn’t pop off exactly as expected) some people could use a lesson from this polite raccoon when it comes to proper drive-thru etiquette.
