Taco Bell is bringing back a fan-favorite from the 1990s: the Double Decker Taco. This iconic menu item, featuring two crunchy taco shells stacked on top of each other with a layer of seasoned beef, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes, will be available for a limited time starting October 10th.
The surprise move was announced quietly and with no promotional lead-up to the news that fans have been waiting for since it was pulled from the menu in 2019
The Double Decker Taco made its debut back in the mid-1990s and quickly gained a loyal following. It was added permanently to the menu in 2006. When it was eventually removed from the menu, many fans were left disappointed.

The Double Decker Taco will be available at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide at the low price of just $2.
And that’s not all! Taco Bell has hopped on the nostalgia train in an even bigger way by introducing the Nostalgia Menu on October 31st. The menu features five discontinued favorites from five decades past including the, Meximelt, Beef Tostada, the Green Burrito, the Beef Gordita Supreme, and last but not least – the legendary Caramel Apple Empanada. The dessert empanada has a different launch date with a very limited time availability: Nov. 3rd to the 18th.
