A survey conducted by USA Today polled their readers, setting out to find the Top 10 best fast food burgers from across the nation for 2023.
The contenders were compiled by experts and a group of editors who then handed the reins over to USA Today’s readers to vote for the best burger in the nation.

- 2. Papa burger – A&W
- 3. Cheeseburger – Five Guys
- 4. Double Meat Whataburger – Whataburger
- 5. Butter Burger Cheese Double – Culvers
- 6. Double Double – In-N-Out Burger
- 7. Whopper – Burger King
- 8. Western Bacon Cheeseburger – Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr.
- 9. SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger – Sonic
- 10. Wendy’s
The #1 spot is coveted by BurgerFi with the BBQ Rodeo Burger which is a pretty new creation, in fact, the chain released the burger this past February and it even won an award for The Very Best Burger at the South Beach Food & Wine Festival.
The burger has two beef patties with jalapeños, haystack onions, and pepper jack cheese. Then it’s finished off with a Memphis BBQ sauce, held together by scrumptious-looking buns with their logo emblazoned on it.
Some notable names missing from the Top Ten list include; McDonald’s, Shake Shack, Steak N Shake, and Smashburger.
Another study conducted by USA Today released results recently, determining the best fast food restaurant. Chick-fil-a claimed the top spot, and Popeye’s rounded out the tenth position.
