A viral tweet sent the fast-food world into a frenzy. The buzz could be heard from coast to coast and breakfast fans all circled October 6th on their calendar. The fast-food titan McDonald’s had apparently tweeted that they were going to be bringing back All Day Breakfast nationwide on this day.

This promotion was widely available a few years back and was popular among breakfast fans that sought out the morning meal later in the day. People had been wondering when McDonald’s would bring this promotion back, because stopping it despite the rave reviews didn’t make sense.

When the smoke cleared and a representative of the company responded to the tweet, it was met with sadness. The tweet turned out to be a viral tweet from 2015, and McDonald’s confirmed that there were no plans for a return to the promotion. McDonald’s has said that the All-Day Breakfast concept is difficult to execute because it can bloat the kitchen and overwhelm the staff.

The date of October 6th will come and go without hot and sizzling McDonald’s breakfast being available around the clock. Breakfast fans hope one day that McDonald’s brings back this popular promotion, however it remains to be seen if they will do so.
