Applebees is launching a Date Night Pass which is good for one year worth of “dates”, netting the subscription holder approximately $1500 worth of food for a one-time fee of only $200.
What’s the catch you’re probably asking? Well, don’t break out into a fit like we did, there are a limited number of passes available for purchase and they’re expected to sell-out quickly. The chain didn’t note exactly how many Date Night Passes are up for grabs but customers can purchase them on Monday, January 22nd at 12pm EST, on applebees.com/datenightpass.
The ambitious idea put forth by the chain is presumed to be a way to bring in new customers for the chain. When used over time, customers can expect to see a maximum value of $1560 at their disposal, making the return on investment, not too shabby of a deal at all.
How Does the Date Night Pass Work?
- A limited number of cards will be available on Jan 22nd at 12pm at, applebees.com/datenightpass.
- Once purchased, a physical card will be sent out via mail.
- The card provides 52 Date Nights over the course of a year, from Feb. 1 through Jan. 31, 2025.
- Up to $30 can be redeemed per Date Night on To Go or Dine-In orders to be used on food & non-alcoholic beverages
- One $30 redemption per week
The Date Pass can be used every week for a total of 52 weeks but the spending ceiling is capped at $30 each night you use it.
Frugal customers will likely take advantage of the unique opportunity to stretch a dollar, and the more opportunistic will likely try to buy a bunch to throw up on a site like Ebay for double the price or more.

Now with our Date Night Pass, a select number of guests can enjoy an incredible year-long deal for any and all occasion.”
Applebee’s has been working on a bit of a shake-up to revive in-store “sales”, and a few months ago it was announced that the chain would be testing 200 new menu items. Applebee’s is “focused on innovating the “culinary side” of things to revamp their food, and dining experience. Promotions are supposed to feature heavily into the equation which brings us to the Date Night Pass. And it’s just in time for Valentine’s Day…
