According to leaked info from Instagram user Markie Devos, KFC is launcing a total of three Chicken Wraps nationwide after testing last fall in the Atlanta, GA market.
The all-new Mac & Cheese Wrap will hit alongside the returning Classic Chicken Wrap and The Spicy Slaw Wrap on November 12th.
Last October KFC engaged the Twister Test Launch which tested all three aforementioned wraps. Originally introduced as KFC ‘s Twister wraps, they were a popular fan favorite that were first seen in 1997, and discontinued in 2014. Fans had been vocal about wanting the Twister Wraps to return for years.
In February, the Classic and the Spicy Slaw made their debut to positive fanfare, and now the Mac & Cheese Chicken Wrap will be joining them for their second wind. There’s no info on the price-point except for a reported 2 for $5 wrap deal that may be on the table.
The tested wraps were re-named simply Kentucky Fried Chicken Wraps.
The Mac & Cheese Chicken Wrap contains a crispy chicken tender, a three-cheese blend, and KFC’s signature side of Mac and Cheese.
The Spicy Slaw Chicken Wrap has a crispy chicken tender with coleslaw, pickles, and a spicy sauce to top it off.
The Classic Chicken Wrap features a hand-breaded Extra Crispy™ Tender, crunchy pickles, and creamy mayo, wrapped up in a warm tortilla.
Also joining the wraps, will be KFC’s homestyle brownies which can be ordered in a sheet or individually.
KFC was recently dethroned by Popeyes for the number two spot for the best of the chicken chain genre. KFC has been losing steam for years but is fighting to get back into the game. Maybe the Chicken Wraps will give them that nudge that they need…
